Afia Serwaa Yeboah

Treasurer

Serwaa is a transportation engineer and PhD researcher at Tennessee State University, specializing in transportation systems, freight optimization, and data-driven decision making. Her work bridges both academia and industry, integrating artificial intelligence, machine learning, and operations research to improve supply chain efficiency and transportation network performance, with a strong commitment to bridging critical gaps in transportation systems across Ghana and the broader African context.

She brings valuable industry experience in transportation operations, safety analysis, asset management, and intelligent transportation systems, having contributed to real-world projects that address infrastructure performance, traffic systems, safety, operations, and logistics challenges. Alongside her professional experience, she has also worked on applied research projects involving logistics optimization, traffic data analysis, and infrastructure planning. 

Her current work contributes to large-scale initiatives focused on freight system optimization and economic impact assessment within transportation networks.
Beyond her academic and professional work, she is deeply passionate about mentorship across different areas of life, including personal growth, relationships, marriage, and career development. She is committed to supporting and guiding others through real-life experiences and meaningful conversations that foster clarity, purpose, and growth. 

She also has a strong interest in entrepreneurship and the practical application of engineering solutions to real-world challenges. In her free time, she enjoys thoughtful discussions, exploring new ideas, and spending time with family and in faith-based activities.
